Waarom bestrijden mensen elkaar vanwege het geloof? Ik, als naïeve gelovige, begrijp dat niet. Ikzelf ben dus moslim, maar ik houd met heel mijn hart van alle gelovigen (van welke religie dan ook) en ook niet gelovigen, omdat het allemaal schepsels zijn van Allah, van Wie ik houd. Ik weet dat Allah van ons allen houdt, omdat Hij dat laat zien met elke levensadem, die Hij ons gunt en elke slok drinken en hap eten, die Hij ons gunt. Uit het feit dat wij kunnen zien, horen, aanraken, ruiken, bewegen, denken, voelen……………Dit wonder is meer dan voldoende om elke dag opnieuw Allah te willen danken, hoe onbeholpen ook. Ok, dat is mijn mening.
Elke dag lees ik een klein stukje Koran. Vanmorgen las ik o.a. van af Surah 2, 130:
“130. And who forsaketh the religion of Abraham save him who befooleth himself? Verily We chose him in the world, and lo! in the Hereafter he is among the righteous.
131. When his Lord said to him: Surrender! he said: I have surrendered to the Lord of the Worlds.
132. The same did Abraham enjoin upon his sons, and also Jacob, (saying): O my sons! Lo! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion; therefore die not save as men who heve surrendered (unto Him).
133. Or were you present when death came to Jacob, when he said into his sons: What will you worship after me? They said: We shall worship thy God, the God of thy fathers, Abraham, Ismael and Isaac, One God, and into Him we have surrendered.
134. Those are people who have passed away. Theirs is that which they earned, and yours is what you earn. And ye will not be asked of what they used to do.
135. And they say: Be Jews or Christians, then ye will be rightly guided. Say (into them, O Muhammad): Nay, but (we follow) the religion of Abraham, the upright, and he was not of the idolaters.
136. Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed into us and that which was revealed into Abraham, and Ismael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have surrendered.”
En verder:
“139. Say (into the People of the Scripture): Dispute ye with us concerning Allah when He is our Lord and your Lord? Ours are our works and yours your works. We look to Him alone.”
Wat ik uit deze verzen opmaak (ik ben zeker geen korangeleerde) is dat geloof in Allah (God, de Heer) uitstijgt boven alle etiketten die mensen eraan willen geven (Jood, Christen, Moslim). Geloof is overgave aan de Schepper. Abraham had nog geen etiket tot welk geloof hij zou behoren. Hij gaf zich over aan de Ene.
